About

About Me

I’m a multi-disciplinary designer, currently based in Chicago.

I combine an ethnographic approach to design research and strategy, with strong technical knowledge of materials and manufacturing. This allows me to create meaningful, engaging experiences across the entire customer journey, from branding, product and packaging to retail environments. My experience of working on a range of different projects, with clients and partners of different sizes, from start-ups to global corporations, and in over 6 different countries, means I can not only design engaging experiences, but implement them effectively, efficiently and at scale.

The name None More Blue comes from a blend of Miles Davis and Spinal Tap, which should tell you a lot about me. If you want to know more about how I think, check out my blog.

For more information, here’s my CV or visit my LinkedIn. If you have a project in mind, or just want to have a chat, feel free to send me an email.

Experience

University of Chicago Medical Center
Design Associate | Chicago | September 2023 - March 2024

I worked as a design associate at UCMC’s Center for Healthcare Delivery Science and Innovation, working with stakeholders across the health system in the design and implementation of innovative clinical processes and systems of care. This included revamping UCMC’s approach to Advance Care Planning, redesigning consent forms and creating new patient education materials for Clinical Trials and Penicillin Allergies.

Equitable Healthcare Action Lab
Student Assistant | Chicago | December 2022 - March 2023

As a student assistant at ID’s Equitable Healthcare Action Lab, I worked with Prof. Kim Erwin in managing the content generated from past projects. I re-organized the physical lab space, created a consistent visual language for the work, and helped set up the lab’s website.

Aspect
Design Director | Remote | April 2020 - December 2022

As a design director at Aspect, I was in charge of the experience design process, from research and strategy, through to concepts, and technical drawings. I worked with the leadership team to shape the firm’s design and business development process as well as the branding and marketing. For the first time, my role wasn’t to just create effective designs, but to work with clients and the management team to meet and set budgets, deadlines and do everything else required to run a successful firm.

Forward Space
Business Design Consultant | Chicago | June 2022 - August 2022

I worked with the team at Forward Space, the largest Steelcase dealership in the Chicagoland area, to explore the feasibility of creating a new woman-/ minority-owned, union-aligned furniture installation company. This included a study of the competitive landscape, interviews with Forward Space and Steelcase staff, and preparation of a full business plan, including org. charts, process maps and pro-forma financial statements. Alongside that, I also studied Forward Space’s current internal furniture installation process, and prepared a list of potential process improvements.

Interbrand
Experience Designer | Mumbai | November 2018 - April 2020

At Interbrand’s Mumbai office, I was in charge of the experience design process, from design strategy and concept sketches, to 3D models, renders, presentations and technical drawings, for clients in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. While the majority of my work focused on retail and commercial spaces, I also assisted the team with research, strategy, brand valuation and visual identity design. This experience taught me the importance of branding, and working with clients from different countries taught me how to adapt my process to ensure that designs accommodated for the nuances and sensitivities of different cultures.

FITCH
3D Designer | Mumbai | June 2016 - October 2018
Intern | Mumbai | May 2014 - June 2014

After a successful summer internship at FITCH’s Mumbai studio, I returned in 2016 to work on the 3D design team. While my core responsibilities were to design packaging, point-of-sale and retail environments, I also assisted branding and strategy teams with research, copy-writing, photography and visualization. Working for large client at an international design firm taught me what it takes to not only create compelling experiences, but to implement them efficiently and at scale.

Atraxia
Designer | Chennai | May 2015 - June 2016

I spent my first year out of college working as a freelance designer for a range of companies, from start-ups to larger corporations. This included naming, branding and visual identity, as well as packaging, industrial design and environmental design and planning. Working on a range of different projects, and for different kinds of clients, helped shape my design process as well as understand the responsibilities of running a business.
